Therapy for Back Pain : Vyasa Yoga

Any yogic technique used to systematically address physical injury or pain, or mental and emotional stress or trauma can be considered Yoga Therapy. What sets this ancient healing modality apart from others is the focus on linking yoga poses to deep, rhythmic breathing and relaxation. Vyasa Yoga therapists will gently guide you, through asana and breathing, to show you poses that heal back pain.

Pranayama : Art of Living

Pranayama = Prana (vital life force) + Yama (to control). The art of controlling one’s breath, or life force, has many benefits, most important of which is mind-body healing. It has been scientifically proven that a calming and controlled breath can lower anxiety and stress. When practiced correctly, a controlled breathing pattern can support the parasympathetic nervous system and activate what is commonly known as the "relaxation response".

Yin Therapy offers a holistic approach to counter both physical and emotional imbalances using a combination of various ‘yin’ techniques. We will delve progressively more deeply into the therapeutic benefits of Yin Yoga as we move further through the training.
