Getting around Singapore is a breeze thanks to an efficient and safe public transport system. Purchase a stored value ez-link card for convenience and lower fares (as compared to using standard tickets from the ticketing machine) when traveling on our extensive network of public buses and trains (known locally as MRT - Mass Rapid Transit). Ez-link cards can be purchased at TransitLink Ticket Offices and Passenger Service Centres within most MRT Stations.

All taxis in Singapore are regulated and run by the meter.  You can hail one on the street or make an advance booking through this taxi booking hotline:  +65 6342 5222. The flag down fare starts at about SGD 4. Booking, peak hour, city/location and Electronic Road Pricing (toll) surcharges apply.

Private car hire companies Grab and Uber are also an increasingly popular means of getting around in Singapore. The mobile apps can be used to hire both private cars as well as taxis.
